Who are the Friends and what is their purpose?
The Friends of the Rogers Historical Museum is a non-profit organization, totally
composed of members and non-paid volunteers that provide support for our Museum. The Friends support the Museum by purchasing collection items, purchasing equipment, sponsoring youth programs and scholarships, supplementing staff salaries for special needs, paying for special exhibits, sponsoring the gift shop, and for many unexpected expenses not in the Museum’s budget. In addition to monetary support for the Museum, many Friends members volunteer to aid the staff by serving as guides, helping build exhibits, and with public relations, research, collections, and outreach programs.
Join the Friends of the Museum and be a part of preserving the
stories, pictures, artifacts, and memories of Rogers for our
Your tax deductible dues goes to support the Museum and the
programs and projects of the Friends.
So, you want to join the Friends but are too busy raising a family and working to volunteer at the Museum. That is perfectly alright, as most members provide their support simply by being members and paying dues. Membership dues range from as little as $15 for a single membership, $25 for an entire family, up to $500 for an endowment membership. Our members include the entire spectrum of our community; all who want to preserve our stories and memories for our children, grandchildren and future generations. |
